Humility... how do we measure that?

Most of us will 'pridefully' debase ourselves in hopes that people will think we are pious.

Humility is not thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less. Jordan... I struggle with this mentality and, truthfully, I don't know how the American church can get past it in the current society that we find ourselves.

Very few people, I feel, are willing to forget themselves in order to magnify Christ as we are called to do.

It was crazy to read this because it is exactly what I was thinking about today. We must share a brain (and striking good looks :).

Just thought about this as I was reading. Just heard a Crowder version of this song and can't get ti out of my head, I'll have to send it to you. It's great!

We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
So Heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…

He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves.

Its funny... I just did a blog on Philippians 3:8 about 2 weeks ago. I called it from Dung to Worship.

This is very true... we have too much comfort to easily slip into a lifestyle that depends on God. That would be radical.
